Gochang-gun Selects 7 Outstanding Public Officials for Proactive Administration

Gochang-gun, Jeonbuk announced on the 28th that it has selected seven “Outstanding Public Officials for Active Administration in the Second Half of 2023” (1 Best, 2 Excellent, 4 Encouragement) who created tangible active administration achievements for residents through proactive administrative work.

The county selected the outstanding public officials for active administration in the second half of the year through evaluations by the working committee and the active administration committee, based on nine excellent cases recommended by each department.

▲ Heungdeok-myeon Kim Eun-seok (Best) = Deputy Head Kim Eun-seok reduced damage in a frequently flooded area by dispersing drainage flow through changes in construction methods and resolved conflicts among residents.

▲ New Vitality Economic Policy Officer Lee Won-seok (Excellent) = Recycled waste such as soil secured from business sites.

▲ Social Welfare Division Lee Ra-young (Excellent) = Conducted the first-ever survey research on the treatment improvement of social welfare workers in Jeonbuk and succeeded in reflecting the budget for improving their treatment.

▲ Health Center Park Jin-yong (Encouragement) = Promoted exemption of out-of-pocket medical expenses at health institutions (health centers, health branches, health clinics) for elderly people aged 65 and over.

▲ Agricultural Policy Division Kim Yoo-jin (Encouragement) = Contributed to stabilizing labor costs by enacting the first domestic ordinance on appropriate labor costs for rural manpower.

▲ Safety General Division Kang Jin-oh (Encouragement) = Proactively responded to disaster facility improvements and heatwave countermeasures.

▲ Safety General Division Kim In-cheol (Encouragement) = Managed rivers for proactive natural disaster response and resource management such as aggregates.

County Governor Shim Deok-seop said, “We will continue to strive to establish an active administrative public service culture that residents can feel through flexible and creative work promotion.”

Meanwhile, the county selects outstanding public officials who have achieved results by actively promoting work to improve convenience and satisfaction for residents, such as regulatory innovation, improving the quality of public services, and resolving civil complaints and conflicts.

Incentives such as additional points in work performance evaluations and priority selection for domestic and overseas training are provided, and especially the best employee is awarded the highest grade (S) of performance bonuses.
