"South Korea, Don't Be Surprised... Russia Warns of Retaliation That Could Harm Economy and Industry"
Russia has warned of retaliatory measures in response to the South Korean government's announcement to further ban exports of items that could be used for military purposes to Russia.
On the 27th (local time), according to major foreign media, Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said in a briefing that South Korea's export ban decision was an "unfriendly measure requested by the United States" and that it "will harm South Korea's economy and industry."
She added, "We have the right to respond accordingly," emphasizing, "It will not necessarily be symmetrical, and they (the South Koreans) should not be surprised by this."
