Suwon City Excels in Road Maintenance and Administration... Ranked 1st Overall in Gyeonggi-do Evaluation
The city of Suwon in Gyeonggi Province ranked first overall (Grand Prize) in the ‘2023 Road Maintenance Review and Evaluation’ conducted by Gyeonggi Province.
On the 26th, Suwon City announced that Gyeonggi Province evaluates road administration and public safety management twice a year (spring and fall) based on 10 criteria including ▲road repairs ▲snow removal measures ▲safety facilities ▲road environment and cleanliness for 31 cities and counties, and Suwon ranked first overall by combining the evaluation scores.
Suwon City received a commendation as an excellent institution and an incentive of 60 million KRW in project funds.
Suwon City received good evaluations across all categories. In particular, differentiated road management policies such as the 24-hour pothole rapid response team and the installation of evacuation facilities in underground passages were shared as best practices among cities and counties in Gyeonggi Province.
