'Winter at the Museum' is an educational program that allows elementary school students on winter vacation to easily and enjoyably learn about our history and cultural heritage through hands-on experiences at the museum. It has been successfully held every year.

This education session provides an opportunity to make a Gokok necklace, which students learned about through audiovisual lessons, and to learn about the uses of jade and the history of ornaments.

The program consists of ▲ audiovisual lessons on the uses and meanings of jade from the prehistoric to the Three Kingdoms period and the history of ornaments ▲ hands-on experience making a Gokok necklace (experimental archaeology) ▲ exploring jade ornaments exhibited at the Busan Museum and imagining your own jade ornament.

Participants can take home the Gokok necklace they make themselves.

The program will be held 12 times over 6 days, and any elementary school student in the Busan area can participate for free. Participants will be recruited on a first-come, first-served basis through the Busan Museum website starting January 2.

Jung Eun-woo, director of the Busan Museum, said, “We hope this program, prepared for elementary school students on winter vacation to experience new history and culture, will help them start the new year joyfully and excitingly.”
