A fire broke out overnight at a villa in Jinhae-gu, Changwon-si, Gyeongnam, burning down the entire house and injuring residents.
According to the Changwon Fire Headquarters in Gyeongnam, the fire started around 3:19 a.m. on the 22nd on the second floor of a five-story villa in Taepyeong-dong, Jinhae-gu.
The fire burned 66㎡ inside the villa and the stairwell from the 1st to 5th floors, causing property damage estimated by the fire department at about 26 million won, and was extinguished by firefighters around 3:38 a.m.
A woman in her 60s living on the third floor suffered first-degree burns on her face, and four others who inhaled smoke complained of headaches and dizziness and were taken to the hospital.
Among the villa residents, six escaped the scene on their own, while twelve were rescued by firefighters.
The place where the fire broke out was identified as a house previously used as a dormitory by a local company.
