KIST, Medical Big Data Business Agreement
The Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) announced on the 22nd that on the 21st, it held a business agreement ceremony for mutual cooperation between the big data platform construction project and medical platforms with the National Information Society Agency (NIA), the National Cancer Center, and Yonsei University Medical Center in Wonju at the KIST headquarters in Seongbuk-gu, Seoul.
The agreement was established to link the healthcare, lifelog, and infectious disease platforms, which are medical field platforms built by NIA, with medical data products. The participating institutions plan to form a consultative body to promote the activation of medical data and the advancement of technology.

Ahn Jaepyeong, Head of the Research Resource Data Support Division at KIST, said, "By actively utilizing medical data, we expect to open a new door for research aimed at disease prevention, early diagnosis, and the development of effective treatment methods."
