Gyeonggi Office of Education Discovers 8 Unregistered Land Parcels Through Public Property Survey
The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education has made proactive efforts to uncover omitted assets such as shared property and discovered 8 hidden land parcels.
To efficiently manage shared property and increase asset value, the Office announced the results of a survey on all land and buildings under shared property within the province on the 22nd.
According to the survey, the shared property under the jurisdiction of the Office includes 6,687 land parcels (42.54 million㎡) valued at 22.7979 trillion KRW, and 8,361 buildings (22.86 million㎡) valued at 21.5348 trillion KRW.
Through this survey, the Office uncovered 8 omitted land parcels (233.8㎡) and resolved 128 discrepancies among property registers, land registers, and registries. Additionally, compensation fees totaling approximately 480 million KRW were imposed on 66 illegally occupied land parcels.
For buildings, 84 discrepancies among property registers, building registers, and registries were resolved, and utilization plans were prepared for 18 unused buildings.
The Office separated the survey periods for land and buildings into the first and second halves of the year.

Lee Geun-gyu, Director of Financial Management at the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education, stated, "By preemptively securing land data held by the Gyeonggi Provincial Government, we achieved the result of uncovering omitted assets worth approximately 190 million KRW based on official land prices for 8 land parcels (233.8㎡). We will continue to do our best in management and supervision to ensure that valuable shared property is not omitted through annual surveys."
