At the farewell ceremony held at the Government Complex Gwacheon on the same day, Minister Han said, "I wanted to do well. I wanted to make the lives of my fellow citizens a little better."
Minister Han said, "If there are any mistakes or shortcomings in what I have done, it is not because of a lack of will or responsibility or compromise, but because of my lack of ability." He added, "I can say this confidently. I said the same thing when I finished my work as a prosecutor, and I am glad I can say it again this time. Whatever I do in the future, when I finish that work, I hope I can say the same thing."
Minister Han said, "All the things I have done that the people like and sympathize with are the credit of my colleagues here and public officials across the country," and added, "As a fellow citizen, I express my respect and gratitude to the people and my beloved Ministry of Justice colleagues." He concluded by saying, "To confess, I was really glad to work with you all. I wish you good luck."
