"A Person Who Has Worked. A Person Who Knows How to Work."
For Mokpo's Development, "A Member of the National Assembly with Rich Experience and Capability Is Needed"
Former National Assembly member Lee Yoon-seok of the Democratic Party of Korea declared his candidacy for the Mokpo City electoral district in next year's general election at 10:30 a.m. on the 21st in the Citizens' Room of the Mokpo City Council.
Lee Yoon-seok, who was the first among the prospective candidates to complete candidate registration on the first day of preliminary candidate registration on the 12th, expressed strong determination, saying, "If it is for Mokpo, I will be the first and number one to step forward," and "I am confident that I can do a lot for Mokpo."
In his declaration of candidacy, Lee Yoon-seok stated, "The crisis of local extinction is becoming more severe. The only solution is to expand the area of local administrative units, increase the population, increase the budget, increase projects, increase enterprises, and increase jobs," emphasizing, "I will promote the integration of Mokpo, Muan, and Sinan to open the era of the Mokpo metropolitan area."

He argued, "Integration of only Mokpo and Sinan is not enough. Including Muan, a minimum regional base must be established to secure more projects and budgets, and for the development of not only Mokpo but also Muan and Sinan regions together."
He continued, "I have served as a re-elected National Assembly member representing Muan and Sinan. I know Muan and Sinan better than anyone else and have connections with many people," and stated, "I believe I, Lee Yoon-seok, am the right person to integrate and metropolitanize the three cities and counties and bring about revolutionary development."
He added, "For the growth and development of Mokpo, an experienced and capable National Assembly member is needed. It is difficult for a first-term or inexperienced National Assembly member to properly bring in even one project or budget," showing strong confidence by saying, "I am more confident than anyone else that I can do a lot for Mokpo."
Lee Yoon-seok introduced his main pledges, saying, "I have various development plans such as an eco-friendly expressway circulating around the outskirts of Mokpo, construction of a bridge between Mokpo Seonchang South Port and Yongdang, and job creation through the expansion of the renewable energy industry," and asked for support, saying, "I am someone who has worked. I am someone who knows how to get things done. I will definitely achieve the development and growth of the Mokpo area together with the citizens of Mokpo."
