The event proceeded with a donation and support fund delivery ceremony, Santa gift wrapping, and commemorative photo session. The heads of each institution dressed as Santa Claus personally visited children’s homes to deliver Christmas gifts such as clothes and snacks.
The Child Love Committee members who participated in the event said, “We prepared Christmas gifts to convey warm hearts during a time when vulnerable children are likely to feel relatively isolated,” adding, “We hope that the children, who are the future of Jindo, grow up healthy and strong.”
Kim Hee-su, the county governor, stated, “Since we surveyed and prepared the gifts that children wanted in advance, I hope these gifts will become good memories for the children who received them,” and added, “We will continue to do our best for the happiness and health of children together with local community sponsors.”
Meanwhile, the Jindo-gun Child Love Committee held its inaugural ceremony in August, the first in Jeonnam, and is actively discovering and supporting child welfare cases in the area to address welfare blind spots.
