Gyeonggi Tourism Organization Holds First 'Small Festival' Performance Report Meeting of the Year
The Gyeonggi Tourism Organization held the '2023 Gyeonggi-do Small Festival Development Support Project Performance Report Meeting' on the 19th at the Suwon Convention Center.

On the 19th, the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization announced on the 20th that it held the '2023 Gyeonggi-do Small Festival Development Support Project Performance Report Meeting' at the Suwon Convention Center for the first time this year, aimed at discovering sustainable tourism content led by local residents and promoting community harmony and participation through festivals.
The report meeting was organized to share the monitoring evaluation results conducted on the selected small festivals and discuss future development directions, with about 60 attendees including representatives from the festival hosting and organizing organizations.
Based on on-site monitoring of the festivals, the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization selected the following as exemplary cases: ▲ Anseong City Tourism Dure Council's ‘Sujak (手作), Capturing Anseong’, Anseong Matchum Handmade Festival ▲ Suwon City Yulcheon-dong Residents' Autonomous Committee's ‘Eco-Transportation Village - Yulcheon-dong Car Free Day’ ▲ One Dance Company's ‘1st Giheung Lake Festival Fireworks Concert’.

A representative from the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization stated, "We selected and supported 58 festivals this year," adding, "Next year, we plan to continuously nurture and support small-scale small festivals to serve as a catalyst for region-led tourism development."
