Gangdong-gu Mayor Lee Su-hee Attends 15th Hope Tree Festival, Receives 'Hope Piggy Bank'
On the afternoon of the 18th, Lee Soo-hee, Mayor of Gangdong-gu, attended the '15th Hope Tree Festival' held at the Gangdong-gu Community Center, where she received a 'Hope Piggy Bank' containing donations for helping neighbors from the Gangdong-gu Regional Children's Center Association.
Hosted by the Gangdong-gu Regional Children's Center Association, the event was attended by about 500 people including children using the regional children's centers and their parents. The ceremony included awarding certificates of appreciation to workers and sponsors of the regional children's centers and the presentation of the 'Hope Piggy Bank.'
The donation amount in the 'Hope Piggy Bank' was raised through contributions collected by children using the regional children's centers who participated in the culture of sharing, as well as proceeds from the Gangdong Flea Market held in September by the Gangdong-gu Regional Children's Center Association.

The district plans to donate the 2,266,700 won received through the 'Hope Piggy Bank' to the Seoul Social Welfare Community Chest, so that it can be used to support neighbors in need who are in welfare blind spots through the '2024 Warm Winter Campaign.'
