The Korea Automobile Journalists Association held the ‘2023 Automobile Person’ awards ceremony on the 19th at the Four Seasons Hotel Seoul Nuri Ballroom, recognizing individuals or organizations that made remarkable achievements in the automotive industry and public relations fields over the past year and contributed to the development of the automotive industry.
This awards ceremony consists of four awards in two categories: Industry Sector Innovation Award and Meritorious Service Award, and Public Relations Sector (In-house and PR Agency). After receiving candidate recommendations from member companies of the Journalists Association by category, the final winners were selected through voting by a judging panel composed of the association’s executive officers, board of directors, and advisory group.

CEO Lee introduced an infotainment service developed in collaboration with Tmap Mobility with an investment of 30 billion KRW. As a result, Volvo Korea ranked first among European brands for four consecutive years in consumer satisfaction surveys.

Choi Dae-yeol, president of the Korea Automobile Journalists Association, stated, “The Automobile Person Award, established in 2019, is given to celebrate the achievements of automobile persons who have illuminated the automotive industry over the past year, as recognized by about 200 journalists from 55 media outlets, and to encourage further efforts for the development of the automotive industry in the new year.” He added, “I am pleased that this year, too, a platform for exchange where association-affiliated journalists and automotive company and institution officials can come together was prepared, and I send my congratulations once again to those honored with the award.”
