Hanjin Group Donates 2 Billion KRW in Year-End Neighborly Love Fundraising
Hanjin Group donated 2 billion KRW in neighbor love funds to the Community Chest of Korea to mark the end of the year.
On the afternoon of the 19th, Hanjin Group held a donation ceremony for the neighbor love funds at the Sarangui Yeolmae Hall in Jung-gu, Seoul, attended by Ryu Kyung-pyo, President of Hanjin KAL, Hwang In-sik, Secretary General of the Community Chest of Korea, and others.
Hanjin Group has been participating in the Community Chest of Korea's Hope Sharing Campaign since 2001. To date, it has donated approximately 53 billion KRW in neighbor love funds. Last year, it was named to the "500 Billion Club" based on cumulative donations. The donated funds will be used to support people with disabilities, low-income families, and social welfare facilities, helping neighbors in need.
This year, Hanjin Group has been committed to ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management for a sustainable society. In April, it supported 500 million KRW each for victims of the wildfires in the Gangneung area of Gangwon Province and for those affected by the nationwide heavy rains in July, engaging in disaster recovery efforts. In February, it also donated 500,000 USD to aid recovery efforts in the T?rkiye region affected by an earthquake.

A Hanjin Group official stated, "We plan to continue fulfilling our corporate social responsibility and practicing sharing management through various volunteer activities needed by the local community and domestic and international social contribution activities."
