Itmaple Develops IT Solutions for Medifood Prescription and Purchase Targeting Hospital Clients
Samsung Welstory announced on the 19th that it is promoting technological cooperation with various startups to expand the introduction of logistics automation and food ingredient sales solutions.
Since 2021, Samsung Welstory has been operating the startup open innovation program called WIT (Welstory Innovation Track), selecting startups to participate in WIT twice a year and holding demo days to share PoC (Proof of Concept) results.
On the 18th, Samsung Welstory held the WIT 4th Demo Day at its headquarters in Bundang, introducing the PoC results conducted so far and discussing future plans.
In the 4th WIT, 'Secore Robotics' in the logistics automation field and 'Itmaple' in the medical diet field newly participated. Secore Robotics, participating in WIT 4th, is a startup that developed an industrial AMR (Autonomous Mobile Robot) specialized in obstacle avoidance driving, possessing core technologies such as neural 3D vision capable of spatial mapping using only camera images and a path-setting algorithm considering change prediction.
Samsung Welstory plans to utilize Secore Robotics' AMR for automatically collecting and transporting empty cargo pallets left after delivery sorting work within the food ingredient logistics center. In the case of Samsung Welstory's Pyeongtaek logistics center, up to 2,000 pallets are used daily, so automating this process is expected to greatly improve logistics operation efficiency.
Itmaple is a startup in the medical diet field that recommends personalized diets based on diseases diagnosed at hospitals and health data, and develops and sells medical foods. Samsung Welstory plans to collaborate with Itmaple to develop a hospital IT solution that simultaneously recommends customized diets to patients diagnosed at hospitals and allows immediate purchase of Itmaple's medical foods through kiosks within the hospital. Samsung Welstory intends to propose this developed IT solution to hospital clients to whom it supplies food ingredients, thereby strengthening the competitiveness of food ingredient sales solutions specialized for hospital clients.
