Gyeonggi Province has been selected as an excellent institution for handling audit reports.
On the 19th, Gyeonggi Province announced that it was recognized for its diligent investigation work on audit reports transferred from the Board of Audit and Inspection and was selected as an "Excellent Institution for Handling Audit Reports in 2023."
The Board of Audit and Inspection annually selects and awards institutions and public officials who have sincerely investigated and handled reports related to the detection of public officials' corrupt acts, budget savings, and improvement of unreasonable systems, targeting central government agencies, local governments, and public institutions to promote public interest reporting.
Gyeonggi Province was highly evaluated for its sincere handling of audit reports received from September last year to August this year, including omissions in procedures such as activity permits within the development restriction zone in City A and improper construction contracts at Public Institution B.
