On the 19th, a magnitude 6.2 earthquake occurred 15 km north of Linxia County, Gansu Province, China, according to the Chinese state-run Xinhua News Agency.
According to the Meteorological Administration, the epicenter was measured at 35.70 degrees north latitude and 102.79 degrees east longitude, with a depth of 10 km.
Xinhua News Agency reported that disaster management officials and firefighters were dispatched to the site after the earthquake, and authorities have initiated emergency response. Specific damage reports have not yet been released.
