Gwangju Metropolitan City's job policy through the 'So-Bu-Jang (Materials, Parts, and Equipment) Specialized Complex' has been recognized for its excellence.
Gwangju City (Mayor Kang Gi-jeong) announced on the 18th that it received the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award for its So-Bu-Jang specialized complex job policy at the '2023 Korea Job Awards' hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.

In July, Gwangju was designated as an autonomous vehicle parts So-Bu-Jang specialized complex, where anchor companies LG Innotek and Korea Alps, participating organizations, and parts companies formed a horizontal value chain, creating about 16,000 quality jobs by strengthening the competitiveness of the So-Bu-Jang industry.
Additionally, it received favorable evaluations by improving the localization rate of core technologies from below 50% to 80%.
Earlier, from the 10th to the 12th of last month, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety exhibited various policies and excellent achievements for management innovation at KINTEX in Ilsan, Gyeonggi Province, with participation from 71 institutions including 64 local governments.
