The Fire and Disaster Headquarters recently announced on the 18th that they have created promotional materials in five languages?English, Chinese, Vietnamese, Uzbek, and Cambodian?covering about 10 disaster types closely related to daily life, including ▲residential vinyl house and factory fires ▲natural disasters such as heavy snow and cold waves ▲social disasters such as infectious diseases ▲and emergency treatments like cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
These promotional materials not only provide action guidelines in case of disasters but also clearly present essential disaster information such as causes, accident cases, and prevention rules.
The Fire and Disaster Headquarters plans to post the promotional materials on the headquarters’ website and produce about 40,000 copies to distribute to workplaces employing foreign workers and facilities used by foreigners within the province.
Cho Sun-ho, head of the Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters, stated, "The multilingual promotional materials on disaster-specific action guidelines were produced as part of the Foreign Fire Safety Innovation Master Plan announced by Gyeonggi Fire in the first half of this year to prevent fires among foreigners. We plan to guide the use of these multilingual materials as consulting and educational resources for foreign fire prevention."
