Eunpyeong-gu Selected as an Excellent District in the 2023 Local Government Disability Welfare Project Evaluation
Consecutive Award Achievement Following Ministerial Award in Disabled Employment Support Project
Eunpyeong-gu (District Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) announced that it has been selected as an "Excellent District" in the "2023 Local Government Disability Welfare Project" evaluation hosted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare in recognition of its achievements in promoting welfare for people with disabilities.
The disability welfare project evaluation comprehensively assessed areas such as support for independent living for people with disabilities, disability service support, disability welfare delivery systems, and outstanding local cases. This evaluation is conducted annually to review the performance of cities, counties, and districts nationwide and to discover and spread best practices.
This award is especially meaningful as only 12 local governments were selected through a comprehensive evaluation out of 42 local governments recommended from across the country.
On October 30, Eunpyeong-gu also received the Minister of Health and Welfare Award for its significant contribution to revitalizing the disability employment project, a pledge project of the 8th local government administration.
