Jangsu Janggyemyeon Achieves Final Selection in Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Urban Regeneration Project
Jang-gye Market Renovation, 13.8 Billion KRW National Funding Invested Over 4 Years
Janggyemyeon, Jangsu-gun, Jeonbuk, was finally selected on the 15th for this year’s urban regeneration project hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, securing 13.8 billion KRW in national funding.
According to the office of Ahn Ho-young (The Democratic Party, Wanju·Jinan·Muju·Jangsu, Jeonbuk), with this selection, a total project cost of 24.2 billion KRW (13.8 billion KRW national funding, 2.3 billion KRW provincial funding, 8.1 billion KRW county funding) will be invested in the Janggyemyeon area of Jangsu-gun, Jeonbuk, under the project name "Janggy Renaissance - Janggy Reborn through Red Food," and the urban regeneration project will be carried out over four years from next year to 2027.
On the 15th, Janggyemyeon, Jangsu-gun, Jeonbuk, was finally selected for this year's urban regeneration project led by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, securing 13.8 billion KRW in national funding.

The main projects include ▲ Establishing a Red Food specialized hub ▲ Creating a foundation for revitalizing commercial districts ▲ Making Janggy, the hometown of Red Food. Consumption and startup support using local specialties such as Korean beef and apples will be promoted in Janggyeri, along with the creation of community spaces for residents. The traditional market of Janggyesi, with a 100-year history, will be renovated to revitalize the commercial district.
