'Cheonwon-ui Achimbap' Support Continues Through Year-End... Gyeongnam Province Provides Independent Funding
Benefits for 7,760 Current Students at Changwon National University and Gyeongsang National University
Gyeongsangnam-do will continue to operate the government’s ‘1,000 Won Breakfast’ program, which ended last November, through its own support until the end of the year.
According to Gyeongnam Province, the 1,000 Won Breakfast program promoted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs ended on November 30.
The province stated that since there are students who stay at school after final exams and the end of the semester to continue their studies, and considering that they consistently eat breakfast, it has provided an additional 7.76 million won in provincial funds to Changwon National University and Gyeongsang National University.
Each university also shared related costs, enabling 7,760 students in the province to purchase breakfast for 1,000 won in December.
