Seoul National University, IBM, and Universities in Korea, the US, and Japan Sign Memorandum of Understanding for Mutual Cooperation in Quantum Education
Seoul National University announced on the 16th that it signed a letter of intent for mutual cooperation in quantum education with IBM, Yonsei University, the University of Chicago, Keio University, and the University of Tokyo on the 14th.
Training talent in the field of quantum computing has become important for future economic development, including the growth of the quantum industry. In response, Seoul National University promoted this cooperation to nurture talent in the quantum field through collaboration with IBM and major universities from each country.
Through this cooperation, IBM and the participating universities from Korea, the United States, and Japan plan to provide quantum-related educational programs to up to 40,000 students over the next 10 years. Based on the quantum education curriculum developed by IBM, each university plans to conduct educational training programs through joint education, mentoring, exchange programs, and invited lecturers. The program will offer education in physics, computer science, engineering, mathematics, life sciences, and chemistry.
