Open Year-Round 'Seocho Traveler Support Center' Opens at Gangnam Station
Seocho-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jeon Seong-su) opened the 'Seocho Traveler Support Center' on the 15th in the Gangnam area, which is popular among domestic and international tourists.
Located in front of Exit 9 of Gangnam Station, the Seocho Traveler Support Center is a revamped version of the Seocho Tourism Information Center, which had suspended operations from 2020 to October this year due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, through a business agreement with the Seoul Tourism Foundation and the Seoul Tourism Association.
Seocho-gu provides the location for the Seocho Traveler Support Center free of charge, supports promotional materials such as tourist maps and brochures, as well as cultural performances, while the Seoul Tourism Foundation manages and operates the center through the Seoul Tourism Association.
In addition to the tourism information services previously offered by the Seocho Tourism Information Center, the newly renovated center will promptly handle tourists' inconveniences on-site through a one-stop service. In particular, it will operate year-round from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., providing meticulous tourism guidance by professional interpreters fluent in Korean, English, Chinese, and Japanese, including compensation for unfair charges experienced by foreign tourists in Seoul's tourism special zones.
Going forward, Seocho-gu will also provide one-stop handling of tourist inconveniences for visitors to the Goteo and Sebit tourism special zones, which were designated for application this October, as well as the Itaewon Tourism Special Zone, Jamsil Tourism Special Zone, and Gangnam MICE Tourism Special Zone. Various cultural performances will be held around the Wind Hill area near Exit 9 of Gangnam Station to offer entertainment for travelers.
