"Lee Nak-yeon Seems to Be Talking with Those Strongly Committed to Party Founding"
Regarding reports that former Democratic Party leader Lee Nak-yeon is pushing to establish a new party with a target date of January 15, Democratic Party lawmaker Yoon Young-chan, classified as part of the pro-Lee Nak-yeon faction, stated, "Since the process until the party's establishment takes time, it seems that there is a belief that we must not rush."
On the 15th, Yoon appeared on MBC Radio's 'Kim Jong-bae's Focus' and said, "I have not spoken with former leader Lee Nak-yeon about the new party issue," but added, "However, I have made a few remarks."

I asked why he was in such a hurry." He continued, "But it seems that former leader Lee Nak-yeon is already having discussions with people who have strong convictions that we must give up expectations for the Democratic Party and establish a new party."
When asked whether the 'Principles and Common Sense' group, a gathering of non-Lee Jae-myung (anti-Lee Jae-myung) faction lawmakers within the Democratic Party, would join Lee Nak-yeon's new party, Yoon replied, "Each lawmaker has their own existential concerns."
He explained, "For example, those who have worked with us in the local regions will be the biggest variable. Politics is not done alone," adding, "Since four people have decided to act together, no one knows where those joint actions will lead."
Additionally, regarding the previous day's demand by 'Principles and Common Sense' for the resignation of Lee Jae-myung, Democratic Party leader, and all Supreme Council members, as well as the formation of an integrated emergency committee, Yoon said, "Assemblyman Jang Je-won declared he would not run again, and then Representative Kim Ki-hyun also resigned. This naturally draws attention to our party."

Yoon emphasized, "In the general election, we all say we want to win together, so it is only natural to maximize the conditions for victory. It is right for the party leader to make a decision and transition to our integrated emergency committee."
