On the 14th (local time), he shot 2-under-par 68 in the first round of the final stage of the PGA Tour Qualifying (Q) School at the TPC Sawgrass Dye’s Valley Course (par 70, 6,850 yards) in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, USA, to tie for 10th place. Harrison Endycott (Australia) and Tano Goya (Argentina) topped the leaderboard with 5-under-par 65. Doc Redman (USA) and two others tied for 3rd place at 4-under-par 66. Korean player Noh Seung-yul finished the first round tied for 57th with 1-over-par 71. Kang Sung-hoon is also looking to move up the leaderboard from this group. The tournament features 168 players competing in a 72-hole stroke play format. There is no cut.
