Seongnam City Sends Seizure Notice to Delinquent Non-Tax Revenue Payers
Seongnam City in Gyeonggi Province has sent real estate seizure warning notices to those who have overdue non-tax revenue payments of 500,000 won or more.
On the 15th, Seongnam City announced that it sent seizure warning notices for about 50 million won related to 30 defaulters (84 cases) whose properties were found after checking their real estate through the nationwide cadastral system.
If the full payment is not made by the designated deadline (December 22) after receiving the real estate seizure warning notice, real estate seizure measures will be taken in accordance with the provisions of the "Act on the Collection of Local Administrative Sanctions and Fines" (Article 9) and the "National Tax Collection Act" (Article 31).
However, for defaulters in livelihood hardship, installment payments will be encouraged to carry out collection activities flexibly.
Once real estate is seized, legal or factual disposition of the seized property is prohibited, and from the time of seizure until its release, the statute of limitations for the collection right is suspended.
