Late-Night Knife Robbery Targeting Women... Man in His 30s Arrested and Indicted
A man in his 30s accused of stabbing two women with a weapon and robbing them in the Guro-gu and Geumcheon-gu areas of Seoul has been brought to trial while in custody.
On the 14th, the 4th Criminal Division of the Seoul Southern District Prosecutors' Office (Chief Prosecutor Kim Jeong-guk) announced that they had indicted the man, identified as A, in his 30s, on charges of robbery causing injury and attempted special robbery.
According to the prosecution, A is accused of stabbing two women passing by on secluded backstreets in Guro-gu and Geumcheon-gu late in the afternoon on the 1st, with a two-hour interval between the attacks, and robbing their valuables.
The prosecution confirmed through CCTV footage analysis that A meticulously planned the crimes, including purchasing the weapon three days prior to the incidents. They also verified A's financial status, revealing that he was burdened with debts amounting to several hundred million won.
