This year, Icheon City strengthened management of facilities emitting air and water pollutants by inspecting all 335 target sites, collecting 84 pollutant samples, and objectively examining the appropriateness of water pollutant treatment methods and management plans.
The city added that it took active measures such as filing complaints and administrative actions according to relevant laws against 49 sites where violations were confirmed during inspections. Additionally, administrative guidance was strengthened by consulting on key management items by industry for emission facilities.
