On the 14th, Gyeongbok University announced that on the 12th, Namyangju City selected the Gyeongbok University Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation as the final entrusted institution through the Private Consignment Deliberation Committee's review to choose an institution with expertise and credibility.
Accordingly, the Gyeongbok University Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation will operate the Namyangju City Mental Health Welfare Center until December 2026 and take responsibility for the mental health of Namyangju citizens.
Yangsoo, Vice President of Nursing and Health at Gyeongbok University, emphasized, "We will revitalize the mental health promotion project of Namyangju City and create a happy mental health city Namyangju by providing the best mental health services."
The Namyangju City Mental Health Welfare Center was established in 1997 for an integrated community-centered mental health promotion project and has been working to prevent mental illnesses, manage patients with severe mental disorders, and create an environment for suicide prevention.
