Changwon City plans to implement the "Changwon Citizens Love Sharing ‘Raising Multiple Children Together’" project in 2024 to reduce the financial burden on multi-child families in having and raising children and to create a warm atmosphere of celebration together. Sponsors including companies, organizations, and individuals will be recruited to provide a birth congratulatory gift of 1 million KRW through the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation for families with a third child or more.
Shin Tae-su, Vice President of Gyeongnam Bank, said, “We are especially proud that the proceeds from the BNK With-Us Free Savings will be used to celebrate the children born in Changwon and their families,” and added, “Thanks to the customers, including Changwon citizens who subscribed to the new product, we are grateful to share warm affection.”
Cha Eun-hwa, Head of the Green Umbrella Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters, said, “I hope the spirit of sharing will be conveyed so that both the birth families and children have a happy year-end.”
Jang Geum-yong, the first deputy mayor, said, “We appreciate Gyeongnam Bank for taking the lead in providing financial support to multi-child families,” and added, “I hope that the ‘Raising Multiple Children Together’ project will widely spread from today and that everyone will participate in supporting and raising children together.”
The "Changwon Citizens Love Sharing ‘Raising Multiple Children Together’" project is conducting fundraising with a goal of 200 million KRW to support families with a third child or more. (However, the support targets and timing may change depending on the amount raised.)
