'Rural Space Field Forum' Held in Gokseong
The Jeonnam Regional Headquarters of the Korea Rural Community Corporation (Head Jo Young-ho) announced on the 13th that it held the '2023 Jeonnam Rural Spatial Field Forum' at the Deulmal Center in Moksadong-myeon, Gokseong.
More than 40 participants, including Jeonnam Province, local governments, and field experts, gathered to share opinions on the development of field-centered rural spatial policies.
This forum was hosted by the Jeonnam Regional Headquarters of the Korea Rural Community Corporation and the Jeonnam Rural Revitalization Support Center, bringing together Jeonnam Province and intermediate support organizations from each city and county, as well as rural field experts. It is significant in that it sought collaboration and win-win solutions for the realization of spatial policies in rural areas.
The topic presentations included ▲ Operation cases of rural spatial maintenance utilizing closed schools (Gokseong-gun Deulmal Center) ▲ Utilization of rural space for local extinction response projects (Korea Rural Community Corporation) ▲ Activation plans for intermediate support organization operations (Happiness Hampyeong Community Support Center) ▲ Rural planning and the Rural Spatial Restructuring Act.
The attendees said, "It was a meaningful time to share opinions on the direction of policy implementation for better rural spaces through excellent cases realized in actual regional development sites," and agreed, "Let us strive for a vibrant rural future together with rural identity through close collaboration."
Head Jo Young-ho said, "I hope this forum becomes a place of communication to create rural areas that are valuable spaces where anyone wants to live," and added, "We will continue to provide opportunities for communication to develop rural spatial policies and work hard to realize policies that are truly needed in the field through close collaboration."
