E-World and Dong-A Shopping Store Deliver Kimchi to 3,100 Needy Households
The Daegu Community Chest of Korea (Chairman Kim Suhak) received 6,200 portions of healthy kimchi from E-World (CEO Bang Byungsun) and E-Land Retail Dong-A Shopping Mall (Hong Munseok, Daegu-Gyeongbuk branch manager) on the morning of the 13th.
The kimchi-making event held at the outdoor parking lot of E-World was attended by about 100 people, including Lee Taehoon, Mayor of Dalseo-gu, Daegu; Kwak Jaeha, Director of E-World; Hong Munseok, Daegu-Gyeongbuk branch manager of E-Land Retail; Jeong Yeonwook, Director of Daegu Volunteer Center; Kim Seokpyo, Chairman of Daegu Social Welfare Council; the E-Land Retail Volunteer Group; and Daegu Volunteer Groups.
E-World and Dong-A Shopping Mall employees are making kimchi for kimjang to share with neighbors in need.
View original imageSince 2010, E-World and E-Land Retail have been conducting healthy kimchi-sharing events to practice ESG management and give back to the local community.
The kimchi provided through the Daegu Volunteer Center and Daegu Social Welfare Council on this day is scheduled to be delivered to 3,100 households, including elderly living alone, disabled families, and households with children suffering from food insecurity in the region.
Bang Byungsun, CEO of E-World, said, “The kimchi-making event is a community win-win event that has continued without interruption even during the COVID-19 situation. I hope that the items provided today will help our neighbors in need have a warm winter, even if only for a short time, with a healthy meal.”
