Fostering Friendship Between Returning Farmers and New Members
Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that on the 12th, the Boseong-gun Return-to-Farming and Return-to-Village Association hosted the 'Night of Returnees to Farming' event at Deungnyang-myeon Cultural Welfare Center.
This event was organized to foster a sense of community among returnees to farming and villages who have settled in Boseong-gun and to encourage members who have experienced living in Boseong for one year, with about 140 people attending.
At the event, six individuals were awarded the Boseong-gun Mayor's Commendation and the Chairman's Commendation for their contributions to stable relocation to Boseong-gun, adaptation process, settlement, and for their special interest in communicating with the local residents and contributing to the revitalization of return-to-farming and return-to-village.
Also, over the past two months, 10 new members who joined the Boseong-gun Return-to-Farming and Return-to-Village Association introduced themselves and explained their reasons for returning to farming, providing an opportunity for senior and junior returnees to exchange information and foster friendship.
Awardee Mr. Kim said, “Choosing to return to village life in Boseong was the happiest choice, and I truly think living in Boseong is wonderful.” He added, “I will do my best to live my second life in Boseong without regrets.”
Mayor Kim Cheol-woo said, “Currently, about 1,000 returnees to farming and villages are settling and working in 12 eup and myeon areas. The county will actively support you so that you can achieve your dream of successful settlement in Boseong.” He continued, “I hope the success stories of those present here will serve as a milestone to guide prospective returnees to farming and villages to Boseong-gun.”
Meanwhile, the Boseong-gun Return-to-Farming and Return-to-Village Association has 403 active members.
