Gwangju Gwangsan Fire Station "Install Residential Fire Safety Equipment"
The Gwangju Gwangsan Fire Station urged the installation of residential fire safety equipment to reduce casualties caused by winter fires.
According to the fire department on the 13th, to prevent residential fires and reduce damage, it is necessary to install residential fire safety equipment such as fire extinguishers and standalone smoke detectors to quickly extinguish fires and evacuate.
The target residences for installing fire safety equipment include detached houses, row houses, multi-family houses, and multiplex houses. Fire extinguishers should be installed at one or more per household and per floor, and standalone smoke detectors should be installed in each compartmented room such as bedrooms and living rooms.
Installed fire extinguishers must be replaced every 10 years, and standalone smoke detectors should be regularly inspected and maintained by pressing the button to check if they are functioning properly.
