Police Take Emergency Hospitalization Measures at Psychiatric Hospital
A man who damaged vehicles by throwing soju bottles and bricks from a high floor of an apartment was arrested by the police.
On the 11th, the Gimpo Police Station in Gyeonggi Province is investigating a man in his 50s, Mr. A, on charges of special property damage.
Mr. A is suspected of repeatedly throwing soju bottles and bricks from the 10th floor of an apartment in Masan-dong, Gimpo City, around 6:30 p.m. the previous day, breaking the windows of parked vehicles.
Police who responded to a report saying "someone is throwing soju bottles" arrived at the scene and, together with the fire department, forcibly opened the door and apprehended Mr. A.
At the time, Mr. A was intoxicated and did not open the door despite police requests, continuing to throw soju bottles and other objects.

A police official stated, "No one was injured due to Mr. A's actions," and added, "Since Mr. A is believed to have a mental illness, he was urgently admitted to a psychiatric hospital to prevent the possibility of reoffending."
