Yeosu City to Recruit Over 8,000 Senior Job Positions Next Year
4 Types, 86 Projects... From 11th to 15th

Yeosu City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Jeong Gi-myeong) announced that it will recruit about 8,000 participants for the 2024 Senior Job and Social Activity Support Project from the 11th to the 15th.
The recruitment scale consists of 5,257 for subsidized projects and 3,000 for self-operated projects, totaling 8,257 people. Selected participants will engage in a total of 4 types and 86 projects, including public interest activities, market-type, employment referral type, and social service type.
Eligibility for application prioritizes basic pension recipients aged 65 or older for public interest activities. For the social service type, the principle is 65 or older, but some types allow participation from age 60.
Next year’s projects will proceed from January 8th by project type, and working hours and activity allowances vary depending on the project type, so applicants should be cautious when applying.
Working hours are 30 hours per month for public interest activities, 60 hours per month for social services, and vary according to working conditions for market-type and employment referral types. The hourly wage is 9,860 KRW, with a maximum of 8 hours per day.
Those wishing to participate can apply by visiting the resident center of their jurisdictional eup, myeon, or dong, or a private executing agency with identification from the 11th to the 15th.
Yeosu City will select participants based on selection criteria such as income recognition amount, walking ability, communication level, and senior job participation experience, and will individually notify the final participant list to the candidates by the 20th.
Ryu Gap-seon, head of the Senior and Disabled Division, said, “We are expanding the volume and activity fields of the project to support more diverse jobs for seniors, so we hope for the interest and participation of many seniors.”
