SSG.com Pre-Sells Seasonal Seafood from Namhae Including Oysters and New Clams
From the 11th to the 13th
SSG.com announced on the 10th that it will start pre-orders for seasonal seafood from Namhae from the 11th to the 13th.
The prepared items include three types: triploid oysters, wild razor clams, and wild sea eel, offered at up to 50% discount with support from the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries.
In particular, triploid oysters have been bred to be 2 to 3 times larger than regular oysters and have superior taste. They are well known as a representative variety found in specialty restaurants. The price is around 19,000 KRW for 1.2kg.
There are also wild razor clams, popular as a health food. They have a light yet rich umami flavor, making them ideal for shabu-shabu or boiled dishes. They are prepared for easy consumption and delivered, priced at around 24,000 KRW for 500g. Sea eel (700g, 2 pieces) is available for about 35,000 KRW.
Purchases can be made through the 'Premium Food Hall' at the top of the SSG.com Emart Mall, and customers can receive their orders on the 15th at a designated time via ‘Sseuk Delivery’ centered in the metropolitan area (departing from Neo Center). The products are stored in logistics centers maintained below 10 degrees Celsius and delivered to the doorstep through a cold chain logistics system using refrigerated delivery vehicles.

An SSG.com representative said, "Considering the high response and consecutive sell-out records of snow crab and salmon pre-orders held earlier, we prepared this event. We hope customers can now enjoy the freshness of winter seafood, which was previously enjoyed at restaurants and production sites, at home as well."
