Dong-A University Department of Bioresource Industry Student Kim Nahyun Receives Minister of Environment Award
‘Youth Leaders for Biodiversity and Green Reporters’ Best Activity Award
Kim Nahyun (3rd year), a student in the Department of Bioresource Industry at Dong-A University (President Lee Haewoo), received the Minister of Environment Award. Kim was recognized for her activities in the Ministry of Environment-led ‘2023 Biodiversity Youth Leaders and Green Reporters Group.’
This ‘Reporters Group’ activity was operated as part of the Ministry of Environment’s ‘Bioresource Conservation Awareness Enhancement Project,’ aimed at raising public awareness and forming consensus on the importance of biodiversity and bioresource conservation.
The main activities involved producing content related to biodiversity every month, with outstanding works selected and posted on the Environmental Daily website.
During the participation period, Kim Nahyun from Dong-A University’s Department of Bioresource Industry had a total of four pieces of content selected, earning her the Minister of Environment Award as the top performer in the Green Reporters Group short-form category.
Kim said, “I believe the good results came from my sincere efforts to share useful information about native plants with many people. The major-related courses I took in my department were very helpful. I am grateful to the professors in my department who provided excellent guidance.”
