Seocho-gu and Kia Sign Business Agreement to Promote Children's Environmental Education
Seocho-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jeon Seong-su) signed a business agreement with Kia on the 5th to “promote local environmental education and spread a culture of carbon neutrality practice.”
The signing ceremony held at Hanapurunibanpo Daycare Center (10, Seochojungang-ro 33-gil) was attended by about 200 people, including Kia Executive Director Yoon Ho-nam and the chairpersons of the local public and private daycare center associations, who exchanged the agreement and held a sponsorship panel presentation.
The main contents of the agreement include ▲support for environmental education projects ▲development and operation of environmental education programs ▲exchange of human and material resources for joint cooperative projects, containing mutual cooperation to promote environmental education and spread a culture of carbon neutrality practice.
Jeon Seong-su, Mayor of Seocho-gu, said, “Through this agreement, we will support children, the future generation growing up, to become agents of healthy earth environment preservation through vivid environmental education tailored to children’s perspectives, jointly conducted by Seocho-gu and Kia.”
At the ceremony, a children’s environmental play “Ppungppungi and Syungsungi” was also performed, and attendees spent time appreciating the importance of the environment while watching the performance with the children. During the performance, children were also able to directly experience operating a solar-powered car demonstration, fostering interest and imagination about future eco-friendly vehicles.
