Moreover, beyond a simple business agreement, a letter of intent was simultaneously signed to supply 1,000 units per year of the visitor information management system to hotels over two years, which is expected to yield tangible results in overseas market entry.
This market entry is part of the ‘ICT Convergence Regional Development Enterprise Support Project’ promoted by Jeollanam-do Province and the Promotion Agency to support regional small and medium-sized enterprises.
This achievement was realized through continuous technological advancement and commercialization support over about a year, as well as negotiations with the Laos government, with Director Lee In-yong accompanying the delegation to provide comprehensive support.
Director Lee In-yong of the Promotion Agency stated, “The fact that a company from Jeonnam Province has secured a foothold in the Laos market, where the ICT industry is taking root, holds much greater significance than the visible numbers suggest,” adding, “We will continue to provide support so that the positive effects of this agreement can spread to all regional companies.”
Meanwhile, since its establishment in 2008, the Promotion Agency has been doing its best to foster the development of Jeollanam-do’s information and culture industry and nurture strong ICT/SW companies by securing and operating government and local government projects worth 34.5 billion KRW in the ICT/SW sector this year alone.
