View original imageThe Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency has opened the "Gyeonggi Business Center" (GBC) in Bengaluru, a representative industrial city known as the Silicon Valley of India.
On the 1st, the agency held a plaque unveiling ceremony and opening event at the Bengaluru GBC, and on the 3rd announced that it has begun full-scale activities for continuous economic cooperation between Gyeonggi-do and India.
The Bengaluru GBC is a business center for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from Gyeonggi-do entering the southern Indian market, supporting buyer discovery and overseas marketing.
Following the opening ceremony, the agency conducted a "Korea-India Business Forum," seminars, and networking events targeting local economic organizations and businesspeople.
Kang Seong-cheon, head of the agency, stated, "The opening of the Bengaluru GBC aligns with Governor Kim Dong-yeon's policy of 'expanding Gyeonggi-do's economic territory.' Bengaluru and Gyeonggi-do are similar in that both lead their countries' economic development and innovation. We expect the Bengaluru GBC to play a major role as a foothold and hub for future cooperation between Gyeonggi-do and India."

The GBC is an office established locally to provide overseas marketing infrastructure and serve as a foothold for overseas expansion to support SMEs in Gyeonggi-do that lack export experience and infrastructure. Currently, it has been established in 19 locations across 14 promising growth regions, including Mumbai in India, Moscow in Russia, Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, Los Angeles in the United States, and Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam.
