Ulsan, Winter Taehwagang Ecotourism Program Operation
Every day in December from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM
Throughout December, an ecological interpretation program will be held at the site of the Taehwagang roosting crows' group flight in Ulsan.
The Ulsan City and the Taehwagang Ecotourism Council announced that they will operate the "Taehwagang Roosting Crows Group Flight Ecological Interpretation Site" at the permanent Taehwagang ecotourism experience area.
The roosting crows begin gathering around the bamboo forest near Taehwagang at 4:30 PM daily to sleep, then perform a large-scale group flight around 5:40 PM before entering the bamboo forest, their sleeping area. This collective flight of the roosting crows has become a famous winter attraction.
Ulsan City has established the "Taehwagang Roosting Crows Group Flight Ecological Interpretation Site" so that visitors can enjoy the famous roosting crows' group flight in Ulsan along with explanations from natural environment interpreters.
From 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM at the ecological interpretation site, visitors can enjoy the group flight of the roosting crows while learning about why the crows migrate from Siberia and Mongolia to Ulsan and use the Taehwagang bamboo forest as their sleeping area, as well as why they fly in circular formations.
Families, groups, organizations, or schools wishing to attend group ecological interpretation tours can make reservations at the Taehwagang Exploration Information Center.
