Mapo-gu Holds Plaque Ceremony for 'Cheokkeut Center' Tailored to Single Mothers' Needs
Mapo-gu (Mayor Park Gang-su) held a plaque unveiling ceremony on the morning of the 30th on the 2nd floor of the Public Health Center to announce the opening of the 'Cheokkeut Center.'
The Cheokkeut Center is a facility that supports unmarried mothers to receive integrated care comfortably from the beginning to the end of pregnancy, childbirth, and parenting. The center is staffed with specialized nurses dedicated to customized care for unmarried mothers.
At the plaque unveiling ceremony, Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo-gu, along with executives and related personnel, attended to celebrate the opening of the Cheokkeut Center.
In his commemorative speech, Mayor Park Gang-su said, "We will be a reliable supporter to reassure unmarried mothers who feel anxious and fearful due to unexpected pregnancies," and added, "Through the Cheokkeut Center, Mapo-gu will assist unmarried mothers not only with pregnancy and childbirth but also with future independence."
