A man in his 40s working on new construction in Changwon dies after being crushed by 5-ton materials
A man in his 40s died after being crushed by construction materials at a building construction site of a company in Changwon, Gyeongnam.
According to Changwon Fire Headquarters and Changwon Jungbu Police Station, at 3:03 p.m. on the 30th, a man in his 40s, identified as Mr. A, who was working at a semiconductor manufacturing company in Seongju-dong, Seongsan-gu, Changwon, was crushed by construction materials weighing 5 tons.

At the time of the accident, the connecting part of a crane used to move concrete piles (PHC Pile) for ground reinforcement at the manufacturing building under construction broke, causing the pile to fall onto Mr. A.
Emergency responders arrived shortly after the accident, but Mr. A was pronounced dead at the scene.
The company has been identified as subject to the Serious Accidents Punishment Act.
