Jeju-do and Honam Region Disabled Sports Association Friendly Exchange Match Held

The Jeju Special Self-Governing Province Disabled Sports Association (President Oh Young-hoon) announced on the 29th that it held an exchange match with executives and staff of the Honam Region Disabled Sports Association at the Jeju Disabled Sports Center from the 29th to the 30th.

The exchange matches, which were suspended during the COVID-19 pandemic, have been held in a rotating manner among the four cities and provinces of Gwangju Metropolitan City, Jeollabuk-do, Jeollanam-do, and Jeju Special Self-Governing Province since last year through a business agreement, and this year it was hosted by Jeju Special Self-Governing Province.

About 100 executives and staff members of the disabled sports associations from each city and province participated in this exchange match, which also served as an opportunity to promote Jeju's bid to host APEC, given that it was held in Jeju.

Kim Cheol-hee, Secretary General of the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province Disabled Sports Association, which hosted this exchange match, said, “I hope this exchange between Jeju and the Honam Region Disabled Sports Associations will serve as an opportunity to strengthen friendship among executives and staff, and that it will provide a chance for the development of disabled sports through cooperation and the establishment of activation plans.” He added, “We hope that the shining Jeju and APEC can be hosted in Jeju.”
