Sejong City will expand the year-end purchase limit for Yeominjeon to 1 million won.
Sejong City announced on the 30th that as part of promoting consumption, the purchase limit per person for the local currency Yeominjeon will be raised to 1 million won starting next month.
The expansion of the Yeominjeon purchase limit is being promoted to increase sales for small business owners, and charging can be done until the 27th of next month. With the increased purchase limit, the cashback consumers can receive next month will also increase up to a maximum of 70,000 won.
The amount issued for Yeominjeon this year was 285.1 billion won as of the end of last month. Sejong City expects the issuance amount to increase to 345 billion won by the end of the year.
In particular, Sejong City anticipates that the expansion of the Yeominjeon purchase limit, coinciding with the ‘2023 Sejong Light Festival’ held from the 2nd to the 31st of next month and the ‘Korea Snowflake Companion Festival’ hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups from the 4th to the 31st, will help revitalize the local commercial district through consumption stimulation.
