"Company Housing for New Employees, Shared by Youth"
Petroleum Corporation Covers Rent and Deposit
Korea National Oil Corporation is beginning the recruitment of tenants for company housing it generously provided for young people in Ulsan. This "shared house," where the corporation covers rent and deposit costs, consists of a total of 34 units.
On the 30th, Ulsan City announced that it will open applications for 34 young residents to move into the Korea National Oil Corporation’s "Regional Youth Shared Company Housing" to support stable housing for local youth.
The housing units include a total of 34 units: ▲ 4 units of 26㎡ and 14 units of 36㎡ in LH Complex 1 located in Songjeong-dong, Buk-gu ▲ 16 units of 46㎡ in Maegok Humansia Apartments located in Maegok-dong, Buk-gu.
Eligible applicants are unmarried young people aged 19 to 39, who are heads of single-person households without home ownership, currently employed or starting a business at small and medium-sized enterprises or non-profit organizations (excluding public institutions) in Ulsan. The application period is from December 1 to December 15.
Applicants can refer to the announcement posted on December 1 in the notice section of the Ulsan City website and apply by visiting the Industrial Complex Policy Division or by registered mail to the Innovation City Team of the Industrial Complex Policy Division, or by email.
If selected as tenants, young residents will be responsible for the management fees and a deposit of 1 million KRW, while Korea National Oil Corporation will support the deposit and rent for at least two years.
An official from Ulsan City said, "We hope this opportunity will reduce the housing cost burden for local youth and help them achieve stable economic independence," adding, "We will continue to expand regional win-win projects through ongoing cooperation with public institutions relocated to Ulsan Innovation City."
The "Regional Youth Shared Company Housing Support Project" is a collaboration for regional win-win cooperation among public institutions relocated to Innovation City, where Ulsan City, Korea National Oil Corporation, and Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) signed a business agreement to share some of the company housing originally intended for new employees of Korea National Oil Corporation with local youth.
