Hong Ik-pyo, the floor leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, warned that the scheduled plenary session of the National Assembly on the 30th must proceed without any disruptions, stating, "The People Power Party must never resort to physical force or violate the National Assembly Advancement Act during the plenary session."
At the Supreme Council meeting held at the National Assembly on the morning of the 29th, Floor Leader Hong said, "The plenary session is scheduled to take place over two days starting tomorrow (the 30th)." He added, "This plenary session was agreed upon long ago between the floor leaders of both parties at the opening of the regular session of the National Assembly, and I hope that promises will be kept as promised." He continued, "Speaker Kim Jin-pyo has also decided to hold the session tomorrow," emphasizing again, "Opposition should be expressed within the meeting room through discussion, and unnecessary physical force or acts that disrupt the order of the plenary session must not be committed."

He further stated, "Regarding the behavior of the Legislation and Judiciary Committee, if the People Power Party does not normalize the committee, the Democratic Party will consider taking serious measures," and said, "We will definitely demand an official apology from the People Power Party and a promise to prevent recurrence of this incident."
Originally, the ruling and opposition parties planned to hold a full meeting of the Legislation and Judiciary Committee on the 22nd to process bills related to people's livelihood, but the agenda was not processed due to the absence of People Power Party members. As a result, the number of agenda items to be handled in the plenary session decreased, and the plenary session scheduled for the following day was also canceled.

In addition, Floor Leader Hong also took a firm stance against Lee Dong-gwan, the Chairman of the Korea Communications Commission, ahead of the impeachment motion to be submitted at the plenary session starting on the 30th. He said, "Regarding Chairman Lee Dong-gwan, the full meeting of the Korea Communications Commission is scheduled for today, and if the privatization of YTN is finally approved, it would be a very wrong action." He added, "There has never been a case where such a significant decision was made in the shortest time ever?8 days after the application was received and 7 days after the review plan was approved." He warned, "If YTN is handed over to a private company in such a hasty manner, we will take all possible measures, including filing complaints, to legally deal with Chairman Lee Dong-gwan, all related commissioners, and officials on charges such as abuse of authority and breach of trust."
