Ulleung-gun Installs Unique Signboards for Firefighting Water Facilities
Due to the climatic characteristics of Ulleung-gun, Gyeongbuk, where fire water facilities are often obscured by heavy snowfall in winter, the Ulleung-gun Water and Sewerage Office (Director Kim Seong-yeop) has introduced uniquely designed fire water facility signs to address fire response issues.
The newly produced and installed unique signs were trialed at a total of six locations: four above-ground fire water facilities and two underground fire water facilities within the jurisdiction.
The newly created signs incorporate messages prohibiting parking and stopping around fire water facilities, combined with the county’s representative brand image of a squid and a firefighter. Additionally, the signposts feature measurement markings to indicate snowfall levels, adding a touristic element to the design.
